    Principal Lawyer

    Amer is the founding Principal of Eliver Family Law and practises exclusively in family law. He began his career in a large national firm in the Melbourne CBD, where he developed a rigorous grounding in complex family law litigation and advisory work. Amer now acts in a multitude of high-conflict parenting disputes, intricate financial and asset-heavy property matters, and cases involving family violence, risk and power imbalance. He is known for clear strategic thinking, precise drafting, and an ability to cut through complexity to advance outcomes that actually matter.

  • Sanj Kumari-Rao

    Senior Associate

    Sanj was admitted to legal practice in 2021 and completed her Juris Doctor at Monash University. She practises exclusively in family law and has experience across both complex parenting disputes and property matters, including those involving competing financial interests and heightened interpersonal dynamics. Since her admission, Sanj has worked in a number of well-regarded boutique family law firms in the Melbourne CBD, where she has developed a strong foundation in litigation and strategic advisory work. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she held roles as a paralegal and legal assistant across both private practice and the public sector, giving her a broad and practical understanding of legal process from the ground up. Sanj is known for providing clear, pragmatic advice and guiding clients through difficult circumstances with focus and care. She brings a measured, solutions-oriented approach to her work and is committed to achieving outcomes that are both legally sound and practically meaningful for her clients.

    Lawyer

    Caleb was admitted to practice in 2025 and completed his legal studies at Deakin University. Prior to admission, he gained valuable practical experience working as a paralegal in a Personal Injury firm, where he developed strong drafting skills, procedural confidence, a deep appreciation for client advocacy, and the ability to tell a client’s story in a legally effective way. Now practising exclusively in family law, Caleb brings a diligent, analytical approach to his work and is committed to achieving clear, practical outcomes for clients. He is known for his work ethic, forensic attention to detail, and an empathetic, steady presence under pressure.

  • Kylie Macneil

    Senior Paralegal

    Kylie is a highly experienced Senior Paralegal with nearly four decades of hands-on experience across family law and conveyancing. She has worked extensively as a Senior Family Law Paralegal with multiple firms before joining Eliver Family Law. In addition to her family law expertise, Kylie brings strong conveyancing experience from her time at North Eastern Conveyancing, giving her a well-rounded understanding of both litigation and property transactions. She is known for her exceptional organisation, deep procedural knowledge, and unwavering commitment to client support. Kylie offers a steady hand guiding clients through the most stressful stages of their matter.

    Paralegal

    Khadija completed her Bachelor of Laws at RMIT University in 2025 and is now building her legal career in family law with a strong focus on client care and practical results. She brings a calm, thoughtful approach to every matter and is known for her ability to explain legal issues in clear, accessible terms. Khadija is deeply committed to supporting clients through what is often the most difficult period of their lives and approaches each case with empathy, diligence and professionalism.

    Natasha Heyer

    Natasha is currently in her second year of a Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Global Studies at La Trobe University. Alongside her studies, she brings valuable experience from the children’s disability support sector, where she developed a strong ability to work with vulnerable clients, manage complex needs, and communicate with care and clarity. This experience informs her approach at Eliver Family Law. Natasha is attentive, patient, and highly aware of the emotional and practical challenges clients face. She is committed to ensuring that every interaction is respectful, supportive, and well-managed, helping clients feel understood and at ease during what is often a difficult time. Natasha is known for her warm and approachable manner, as well as her reliability and professionalism in handling day-to-day matters.
